Economic Developers of Long Island (WEDLI) is
a unique and specialized organization whose membership
is selected from top level executives in the fields
of banking, finance, accounting, commercial real
estate, real estate development, marketing, government
and law. WEDLI is a regional organization concerned
with all of Long Island.
WEDLI fills a professional
need for women in the various fields of economic
development so that a forum for interaction exists
where business contacts can build and advance
the objectives of a prosperous and growing Long
Island. WEDLI’s continuing goal is to educate
and inform the general public.
Roz Goldmacher,
Ilene Krupnick and Dorothy Tripp founded WEDLI
in 1984 over a simple luncheon. They met to discuss
a possible real estate transaction and were quickly
and decisively able to put a package together.

The moment
was savored and history was made by the formation
of WEDLI. In a short space of time, by-laws were
created and by a flip of a coin Dorothy became
the first president. From those humble beginnings
to this date, the core mission of WEDLI remains
making the deal!
Our general meetings
are held on the second Thursday of each month
at 8:00 am at the The Woodlands at Oyster Bay Golf Course.
