Madelyn Orsini Award
The Madelyn Orsini Award is presented annually to a female student who demonstrates the values of WEDLI by her commitment to leadership and community service on Long Island.
Applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Nominated by an active member of WEDLI or by a faculty member at the applicant’s post-secondary school or educational program.
- Has a future career goal focused on promoting economic growth and development on Long Island.
- Currently resides in Nassau, Suffolk, Kings (Brooklyn) or Queens County.
- Has successfully completed at least one year of coursework from any of the following post-secondary schools/educational programs: undergraduate; graduate; vocational; or technical.
- Students about to graduate are eligible.
- WEDLI members are not eligible for the award; family members are eligible.

Application deadline is March 19, 2026. Scholarship winners will be determined by April 16, 2026, and presented with the award by June.
