At WEDLI’s meeting on Thursday, January 10, 2008, our special guest was Sandy Feinberg, Director of the Middle Country Library in Centereach. Along with Ms. Feinberg were library division heads Sophia Serlis-McPhillips, Coordinator of Adult Services at the Miller Business Resource Center; Elizabeth Malafi, Information Specialist and Noreen Stackpole, Community Resource Database of Long Island, each of whom spoke about her particular area of the library’s unique capabilities. The topic of the morning was "Libraries and Economic Development," and in keeping with the theme, each of the speakers discussed the vital role played by Middle Country Library in the economic development of Long Island.
