WEDLI HOSTS 14TH ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE BREAKFAST

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 – The Women Economic Developers of Long Island hosted their 14th Annual Legislative Breakfast with speakers Congressman Timothy Bishop, NY 1st District and Congressman Steve Israel, NY 2nd District. The congressmen addressed the overflow crowd on topics that touched upon the U.S. energy policy, federal educational finance assistance, finance regulatory reform, transportation, hydro-electric vs. corn ethanol power production, transit funding, infrastructure deficiencies and more.

WEDLI meets the second Thursday of the month September through April with the May Legislative Breakfast scheduled at the availability of the guest speakers. In the month of June, WEDLI’s meeting is an evening event dedicated to installation of officers and board. There are no meetings in July and August.
